Remembrance day is so very important to our human psyche. To remember what has transpired in our world, to remember those who gave their lives to fight for freedom, who were lost in war, who were lost in senseless acts of violence- these are important things to reflect on and we hope that it helps teach our future generations to change.
That is why we wanted to design this lovely, peaceful and easy family paint workshop to create your own art with the stunning image of a bunch of poppies. We will explore the colour spectrum of the poppy, talk about why it is important and why the poppy.
The session will be at an easy pace and suitable for all ages. Children under 6 will need to share the experience and canvas with a parent.
Workshop will be $30 and will include the following:
-lesson on colours, colour mixing, abstract painting and stencil usage
-stencils and creative mixed media supplies to add to the painting
-paints, easel, aprons to wear in studio
-red themed mini cupcakes as a snack break.
Session time is set at 1.5 hours but may take longer depending on what the artists do with their canvasses! So be prepared to spend at least 30 mins longer if needed to either complete the painting or wait for it to dry.
Juice, Pop and Water are available for purchase in Studio.
There will be no wine or beer served during this session.
